One of California’s secret gems is Montana De Oro State Beach. Arranged on the Central Coast only miles from the town of San Luis Obispo, it’s an incredible neighborhood for climbing, setting up camp, and investigating the tough shoreline. Sorry to you surfers out there. The waves would be perfect to ride, however crushing into the stones would be less impressive. Not to fear, only 10 miles north lies Morro Strand State Beach and Pismo Beach is only a couple of miles south. Notwithstanding, there is a little stretch of sand at Montona De Oro State Park ideal for relaxing in the sun and getting a charge out of nature.
Discussing nature, it flourishes here in large numbers. Ocean lions, starfish, ocean urchens, crabs, otters, birds, and whales are only a couple of the animals you can observer here. Another creature you we see a ton of are people, and for good explanation! It’s totally lovely!

Valenica Peak isn’t the main climb accessible. This state park gives you a lot of choices to investigate the region. My #1 region is south of the fundamental ocean side along the 50 foot precipices that neglect the sea.
